The following information and photo was sent in by Phill Jones, who is in touch with Tom's brother..

He (Sgt Instone) did  his W/OP Training at RAF MADLEY, Herefordshire. At some point during his service he was in the Bahamas with (i think) a SUNDERLAND OTU before posting to 59 SQD. According to his brother he was a very good musician and could play several instruments .His brother and Mother attended the burial at WICK in SCOTLAND.

Tom was lost when he and his crew crashed into high ground in poor weather. The pilot was the only survivor. view details
